How your online/blended First Aid and CPR training works

  1. Part 1. Online

    This web-based portion will provide you with the theory and knowledge to educate and prepare you for your in-class training. Your progress will be automatically saved so you can come and go as you please.

    Online training must be completed before attending in-person training.

    Important: WSIB Ontario and CSA Z1210:24 require participants to complete the online portion of a blended First Aid program in full before attending the in-person training session.

  2. Part 2. In-person

    This consists of in-person training at one of our facilities. Here, you will work with our experienced instructors, who bring real-world emergency response and First Aid experience into the classroom.

    Through hands-on lessons, demonstrations, skills practice, and scenarios, you will build confidence in applying your First Aid and CPR skills in real-life situations.

    In-person training must be completed within 60-days of your passing your online portion.

    Upon successful completion of the in-person portion, your certification will be emailed to you on the next business day, confirming completion of your chosen course.

Refund & Rescheduling Policies

  1. Refund Policy

    Once you have signed up for your course and you have started your online portion of the training, no refund will be issued.

    You will not be provided a refund if one is requested the day of your in-person course or thereafter, even if you have yet to begin your online course.

    If a refund is issued, the credit card fee will be subtracted. You will not receive a full refund.

  2. Rescheduling Policy

    If you need to reschedule your in-person training date, please email us: info@heavencanwait.biz with your name and order number, PRIOR to your in-person class.

    A $45+HST charge will be applied to those who wish to reschedule their in-person and who have not provided us with 3-business days prior notice.

    You are allowed only one rescheduling.

    Any additional rescheduling will be subject to the full course price of your original purchase.

    If you miss your in-person all together, you will not be certified nor rescheduled, and no refund will be provided.

Questions You May Be Wondering

  1. What if I’m unsuccessful in the course?

    If you need another opportunity to demonstrate the required skills, you can repeat the in-person session at no extra charge. Your instructor will help you understand what to practise and what to expect next.

  2. Do you cancel courses if only a few students are registered?

    No. We don’t cancel a course because enrolment is low. Your scheduled course will go ahead.

  3. Will I be singled out or put on the spot in class?

    No. We don’t pick on students or embarrass anyone. You’ll take part in practice and demonstrate the required skills, but our instructors aim to make the learning environment supportive and respectful.

  4. What if I learn differently?

    All kinds of learners are welcome at Heaven Can Wait. Our instructors use explanations, demonstrations and hands-on practice. If you have questions about your learning needs or what to expect, contact us before your course. We’ll be happy to talk with you.

  5. Do I need to know first aid before I arrive?

    No. You’re there to learn. Your instructor will explain and demonstrate the skills, then guide you as you practise.

  6. What if I’m nervous or don’t know anyone in the class?

    You’re welcome to register on your own. Many students arrive without knowing anyone. You don’t need a medical background or previous first aid experience to take part.

  7. What if I require an accommodation?

    We are committed to providing an accessible and inclusive training experience. If you require an accommodation to participate in your course, please contact us so we can discuss your needs and determine appropriate support for you.

  8. What if I’m not sure which course my school or placement requires?

    Check the specific requirements with your school, placement, or employer before registering. If you’re unsure which course you need, send us the requirements and we’ll be happy to help you compare them with our available course options.
